Parts Counter Salesperson

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - Deep South Equipment is seeking a Parts Counter Sales professional to join our team. The ideal candidate has forklift, ag equipment, construction equipment, or similar type parts counter sales experience.

Please note: wages posted for this job are estimated to be compensation for similar positions. While we don't share our pay ranges online, our actual pay ranges are based on your current Skills, Knowledge, Experience, and Growth Potential.

Responsibilities:

• Write up approved charge sale in accordance with the company procedures.

• Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, and product features;

• Maintain confidentiality of pricing lists and structures as required by company procedure.

• Locate and obtain ordered parts for customers from the central warehouse or branch.

• Help determine and obtain heavy-duty parts for customers as requested by phone or in person. Suggest the sale of related parts for full service.

• Handle warranty or defective parts for customers in accordance with company procedure.

• Ensure that the counterpart's area is clean and in order. Ensure that display areas encourage sales.

• Utilize non-selling, non-servicing time by studying catalogs, reviewing price sheets, bulletins, changes, additions, and deletions.

• Special order parts on an emergency basis when necessary and appropriate.

• Determine sales price for customers for each sale in accordance with company procedure.

• Provide customers with product catalogs.

• Process approved credits for customers when merchandise is returned.

• Ensure that product catalogs are current. Discard old ones and replace them with new ones.
