American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment, performing a 50/50 split between CT scanning and general radiography with 2+ years of experience required.
Details\n- \n
- Acute care hospital setting performing both CT scanning and general diagnostic radiography \n
- Position is split approximately 50/50 between Canon CT scanner and X-ray duties \n
- Must be willing to float to perform X-rays up to half of the scheduled shifts \n
- Patient population includes a range of diagnostic imaging cases including head, spine, chest, abdominal, and pelvic studies \n
- Procedures include diagnostic radiographic exams, computed tomography, fluoroscopic procedures, and interventional radiography assistance \n
- Contrast media administration and venipuncture are required as part of CT duties \n
- 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM \n

- Minimum of 2 years of CT and radiography experience \n
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program \n
- ARRT registration with CT certification required \n
- Current BLS certification required \n
- OBMI registration required \n
- Proficiency with Canon CT equipment preferred \n
- Competency in venipuncture and contrast media administration required \n
- Skills competency covering head, spine, chest, abdomen, and pelvis CT protocols required \n
- License required if applicable \n

- Responsibilities include performing diagnostic radiographic and CT procedures, patient preparation, equipment operation, image quality evaluation, and documentation of patient clinical history \n
- Assists licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized interventional radiography procedures \n
- Prepares, identifies, and administers contrast media and medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner per state statute and institutional policy \n
- Initiates basic life support when necessary \n
- CRASE training is preferred at the start of assignment and will be required if the assignment extends beyond 6 months \n
- Participates in required education for DNV accreditation programs as applicable to the role \n
