Job Description\nThe Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, while embracing the Select Medical Way and Core Values of the Company, which focus on superior quality, treating others with respect, and achieving results collaboratively.
\n\nResponsibilities\n- \n
- Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission. \n
- Identify teaching needs and goals related to the patient's diagnosis. \n
- Provide timely patient information for initial and re-evaluation team conferences. \n
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely. \n
- Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and utilize the nursing process for care delivery. \n
- Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission. \n
- Communicate pertinent changes in patient status to care providers. \n
- Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel effectively. \n
- Ensure personal and environmental safety in accordance with policies. \n
- Contribute to unit functioning by providing direction and reassurance. \n
- Maintain communication with management regarding service needs. \n
- Assume charge responsibility after orientation. \n
- Pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study. \n

- BLS Certification Required Prior to First Shift \n
- ACLS Required Prior to First Shift (for specific units) \n
- Minimum of Two (2) Years Bedside Clinical Experience Required \n
- ICU Experience is a plus \n
This is a day shift position scheduled for 3 twelve-hour shifts.
