Facilities Technician

pstrongspanSUMMARY:/span/strongspan Facilities Technician will pspanerform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair work including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic production and facility systems and equipment. Additional obligations include facility beautification through handyman repairs, grounds maintenance, and property cleanliness and upkeep./span/span/p pspan /span/p pstrongspanESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/span/strongspan include, but are not limited to the following: (other duties may be assigned)/span/p ul lispanIs able to learn to read and demonstrate competency in interpreting equipment manuals, drawings, schematics, blueprints, and work orders to perform required maintenance. /span/li lispanDemonstrates aptitude to diagnose problems and failures and repairs or replaces parts as required.  /span/li lispanDemonstrates aptitude to adjust various types of devices and control systems.  /span/li lispanDemonstrates progressive understanding in inspection, monitoring and maintenance of ammonia refrigeration systems and wastewater systems in facilities. Understand these systems and component functions and relationships and becomes competent in their troubleshooting and repair. /span/li lispanDemonstrates progressive competencies in facility repairs and beatification./span/li lispanComplete daily preventive maintenance and reports as tasks are completed/span/li lispanEnsure compliance with state, federal, and local agencies, including OSHA and the EPA/span/li lispanCollaborate with the Safety Manager to develop and implement written Process Safety Manual (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RPM) programs/span/li lispanOperate and maintain all facility heating and air conditioning systems/span/li lispanTrouble shoot electrical problems/span/li lispanFollow safety rules and regulations as established by Daily’s./span/li lispanKeep accurate and timely work records and turn in paperwork as required/spanspan./span/li lispanOther processes may be assigned at management discretion./span/li /ul pspan /span/p pspan /span/p pstrongspanQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: /span/strongspan To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Two years previous operating anhydrous ammonia systems OR HVAC/R experience - or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required./span/span/p pstrongspanCOMMUNICATION SKILLS:/span/strongspan Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals.  Reading and interpreting of blueprints and wire diagrams.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
