pThe Inventory Specialist is responsible for both traditional medical/surgical supplies management and 2-Bin Kanban project supply chain systems.nbsp; This role is responsible for the accurate and efficient counting, stocking, and auditing of consumable medical/surgical supplies, pharmaceuticals, surgical implants, instruments, and other hospital assets. This role may also be responsible for installing and maintaining 2-Bin Kanban project supply chain lines, including assembling and adjusting inventory storage racks. This is a temporary position that will require travel./p pstrongEssential Functions and Responsibilities:/strong/p ul liAccurately capture inventory count data in the HITS program, utilizing Excel or paper count sheets as instructed by the Team Leader or other Inventory Management./li liPerform inventory counts, ensuring all items are accounted for and reported according to established policies./li liReport discrepancies in inventory to the Team Leader./li liMaintain a high level of competency in using technology for inventory data capture, including the HITS application./li liRegularly communicate with the Team Leader regarding any issues with the HITS program and/or computer equipment./li liAssemble/disassemble and adjust inventory storage racks, carts, and shelving for supplies./li liInstall carts to each par location./li liOrganize and stock inventory shelving as directed by the supervisor and hospital staff teams./li liRead data for supplies description, item number, par, and unit of measurement (uom)./li liPick one (1) each of supplies for each par location and label with a temporary label./li liBin and stage supplies on carts with appropriate bin size and label./li liLabel bins and carts./li liAccurately capture inventory count data in the HITS program using Excel or paper count sheets as instructed by the Team Leader or other Inventory Management./li liFollow procedures and protocols outlined in job orientation and training./li liFollow company procedures, guidelines, and standards in customer service, equipment utilization, and internet usage./li liMaintain a high level of competency in utilizing technology for inventory data capture, including the HITS application./li liAttend staff and training meetings for ongoing updates related to Field Operations./li liCommunicate with the Team Leader daily to troubleshoot challenges./li liCollaborate daily with various teams while working on projects./li liFollow Inventory Counter procedures and protocols outlined in job orientation and training./li liPerform duties in a timely and effective manner, adhering to established company policies to achieve overall objectives./li /ul pstrongRequired Qualifications:nbsp;/strong/p ul liHigh school education, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience/li liMust be able to meet required standards to work within a hospital - including background check, drug test and medical vaccinations./li liState Issued Driver’s License and clean driving record preferred in addition to reliable transportation and the ability to travel extensively/li liMust possess a mobile phone to be able to use company apps for timekeeping purposes/li liAbility to use inventory computer programs to update counts and compile reports/li liMust present a professional appearance/li liAbility to work independently and as a member of various teams/li liAcute attention to detail/li liVersatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities/li liMust be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary English language/li liThis position requires frequent travel across the US/li /ul pstrongPreferred Qualifications:/strong/p ul liMedical and/or pharmaceutical product knowledge/li li1 year of inventory count or supply chain experience is preferred/li /ul pstrongWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:/strong/p ul liTravel extensively to US based hospitals/li liStand and/or sit for prolonged periods/li liWalking for prolonged periods/li liStooping, bending, and/or reaching to count products and/or handle equipment/li liPerform repetitive motion activities/li liUnderstand and respond to a diverse population/li liAbility to lift to 50lbs/li /ul pThe compensation for the Clinical Inventory Specialist can range from $13.00 - $18.00 per hour. The base hourly range represents the anticipated low and high end of GHX’s salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role.
