2nd available/span/p pspanPay:                     $17.25 - $20 BOE/span/p pspanFLSA Status:         Non-Exempt/span/p pspan /span/p pspanstrongSUMMARY /strong/span/p pspanOperates equipment and machinery in the casting, machining, and assembly of automotive components.  Verifies that the component is cast, machined, and assembled according to customer specification.  Moves materials throughout all stages of the manufacturing process./span/p h1spanESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*/span/h1 pspanLifts workpiece manually or using hoist and secures workpiece in fixture or loads automatic feeding device./span/p pspan /span/p pspanStarts machine, engages feed, and observes operation./span/p pspan /span/p pspanInspects and measures manufactured workpieces to verify conformance to specifications. /span/p pspan /span/p pspanMoves machine controls and guides to adjust machine./span/p pspan /span/p pspanReplaces worn machine accessories./span/p pspan /span/p pspanFiles, sands or shapes machined parts./span/p pspan /span/p pspanCleans manufactured parts./span/p pspan /span/p pspanTends machines and equipment./span/p pspan /span/p pspanPerforms work according to Standard Work Chart and the Work Instruction Manual./span/p pspan /span/p pspanPerforms inspection according to the Key Point Instruction Sheet./span/p pspan /span/p pspanMaintains good housekeeping practices at assigned workstation./span/p pspan /span/p pspanCompletes Preventative Maintenance Inspections as requested by the Supervisor./span/p pspan /span/p pspanPerforms Pokayoke checks according to the Inspection Sheet./span/p pspan /span/p pspanRecords the information on the Daily Production Report./span/p pspan /span/p pspanChanges dies and fixtures when instructed by the Supervisor./span/p pspan /span/p pspanCommunicates all abnormal situations to the Team Leader or Supervisor./span/p pspan /span/p pspanReports machine and equipment malfunctions to Team Leader or Supervisor./span/p pspan /span/p pspanPerforms sampling inspection, and testing of received parts, components, and materials to determine conformance to standards./span/p pspan /span/p pspanPulls products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, or chemical characteristics./span/p pspan /span/p pspanRecords test data, applying statistical quality control procedures./span/p pspan /span/p pspanAdjusts work procedures to meet production schedules./span/p pspan /span/p pspanSuggests changes in use of equipment to increase efficiency./span/p pspan /span/p pspanSets up machines and equipment./span/p pspan /span/p pspanMay be required to work both daily and weekly overtime./span/p pspan /span/p pspanOther duties may be assigned./span/p pspan /span/p pspanstrongspanTeam Members assigned to Function Gaging/ Parts Checks will be trained to Basic SPC within 30 days of assignment./span/strong/span/p h1spanSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES/span/h1 pspanThis job has no supervisory responsibilities./span/p pspan /span/p pspanstrongQUALIFICATIONS /strong/span/p h1span    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE/span/h1 pspanHigh school diploma or G.E.D./span/p pspan /span/p h1span    LANGUAGE SKILLS/span/h1 pspanAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other members of the organization./span/p pspan /span/p h1span    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS/span/h1 pspanAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs./span/p h1span    REASONING ABILITY/span/h1 pspanspanAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations./spanspan /span/span/p h1spanPHYSICAL DEMANDS/span/h1 pspanWhile performing the duties of this job, the member is regularly required to walk;
