Prepare and positionspatients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately./li liExplain procedures and educate patients about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health./li liDevelop and evaluate the film for technical quality such as density contrast, definition, and distortion./li liFollow radiation safety procedures and guidelines./li liEnsure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history)./li liEnsure equipment is properly functioning. Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel./li liAssist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department./li /ul h2What You Will Need/h2 pLicensure / Certification / Registration:/p ul liBLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.  American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted./li liOne or more of the following required: ul liCardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date./li liRadiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date./li liRadiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date./li liMedical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date./li /ul/li /ul pEducation:/p ul liHigh School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required./li /ul h2Additional Preferences/h2 pNo additional preferences./p h2About UAB St. Vincent’s/h2 pUAB St. Vincent’s, a proud part of UAB Medicine, is a trusted provider of health care, serving Alabama for more than 125 years.
