h2 id="job_meta" pLocation: Williamsburg,Virginia,United States /p /h2 div id="job_description" pstrongOverview:/strongnbsp; This position is responsible for providing guest and member dining services at preferred standards.nbsp; Servers will be assigned locations based on level of experience to take orders and serve guests and members of the property.nbsp; Reports to the outlet manager./ppstrongResponsibilities:/strong/pulliPerform all duties toward the goal of providing excellent guest service in an efficient manner./liliFollow all policy, procedures and service standards./liliPrepares facility for dining ensuring napkins, service plates and utensils are ready to go./liliProvide guests/members with menu info and specials/liliRespond immediately and professionally to guest service issues and report the situation to the manager on duty./liliAccurately record and enter all food and beverage items in to the POS system along with any special dietary needs; pick up, garnish, and serve food and beverages promptly to guests; collect and process forms of payment; ensuring guest satisfaction throughout./liliMaximize sales by using menu knowledge and suggestive selling techniques helping patrons select food and beverages by offering cocktails and aperitifs; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; identifying appropriate wines; and answering food preparation questions./liliResponds to additional patron requirements by observing dining process./liliMaintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other needs/liliOffer and serve alcoholic beverages while adhering to established alcohol policies protecting the property and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol control practices./liliConduct themselves in a professional manner with the awareness that most actions and communications are within guest view./liliEnsure a congenial atmosphere./liliMaintain cleanliness of Dining Room and service areas./liliComplete assigned duties within each shift./liliCollect accurate payment from the guest and depositing the exact amount of sales./liliDevelop and maintain positive communication and teamwork with all co-workers and supervisors: front and back-of-house./liliConcludes dining experience by inviting patrons to return./liliPerform other duties as assigned.strongnbsp;/strong/li/ulpstrongQualifications:/strong/pulliPossess general math skills with the ability to be accurate and thorough/liliPossess the ability to develop relationships and provide exceptional customer service/liliPossess verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and supervisors./liliAbility to learn menus items, specials, features, food, and beverages./liliAbility to provide guests with general property and area information./liliServer experience in comparable restaurant preferred./liliMust be at least 18 years of age./liliExperience lifting, balancing and carrying service trays shoulder height that weigh 40 lbs. a plus/liliAbility to organize and prioritize while maintaining a calm and pleasant demeanor./liliAbility to absorb information quickly: Service procedures, dining room floor plan, and point of sales/liliCertification in TIPS alcohol awareness program is required within 30 days of hire/liliMust have Food Handlerrsquo;s card within 30 days from date of hire/liliMust have cash handling within 30 days from hire/liliMust be able to walk.
