Founded in 1971, we believe that the quality of your health care should not depend on how much money you make, what language you speak or what your health is, strongbecause everyone deserves great care/strong./span/p pspanstrongPosition Summary:/strong/span/p pspanResponsible for all clinic laboratory functions, including phlebotomy, processing, and sending lab specimens, record keeping, quality controls, performance of in-house lab tests and oversight of all lab safety regulations. /span/p pspanstrongCompensation is dependent on skills and experience. /strong/span/p pspanstrongYour contribution to the team includes: /strong/span/p ul lispanPerform venous blood draws and in-house lab tests according to established protocols./span/li lispanCoordinate the processing of specimens to be sent to LabCorp including the review of the invoice./span/li lispanResponsible for regular quality control checks of lab procedures on a daily basis./span/li lispanDaily sign off in Cleaning and Maintenance log./span/li lispanResponsible for monthly reporting and reconciliation of all lab paperwork./span/li lispanResponsible for running site specific “Pending Labs Report #306 as well as responsibility with reporting, tracking and resolution of outstanding lab orders./span/li lispanDaily vaccine duties including: recording of refrigerator and freezer vaccine thermometer temperatures, downloading and posting of vaccine thermometer data and saving the VFC thermometer logs to X drive/span/li lispanStock and clean lab, patient bathroom and lab equipment./span/li lispanResponsible for ordering lab supplies and regular checking of any expired lab supplies./span/li lispanManage in a timely manner inbox tasks, in house labs, LabCorp labs and lab letters./span/li lispanManage Medical Assistant Visits in a timely manner throughout the day./span/li lispanShare updated lab policies and procedures, new equipment, training materials, protocols, and safety devices with appropriate staff./span/li lispanMaintain proficiency through educational trainings and lab proficiency testing./span/li lispanOversee timely completion of required proficiency testing required of all Medical Assistants./span/li lispanOversee staff adherence to safety regulations and guidelines governed by regulatory agencies./span/li lispanEnsure quality of lab performance, assist and mentor other Medical Assistants needing training or direction regarding lab procedures. /span/li lispanProvide back up to perform Spirometry, EKG, and assist with patient flow as needed. /span/li lispanResponsible for STD case reporting to Public Health. /span/li /ul pspanstrongMust have’s you’ll need to be successful:/strong/span/p ul lispanCertificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program./span/li lispanSix (6) months Medical Assistant experience in an ambulatory medical care setting and/or lab 6 months experience in an ambulatory medical care setting./span/li lispanMust possess an active Washington State Medical Assistant Certification or Interim Certification.
