American Traveler is hiring an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring at least 1 year of cath lab experience, ARRT or RCIS certification, and AHA-endorsed BLS and ACLS.
Details- Hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
- On-call requirement of 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month, with potential for additional call as needed
- Epic EMR used for charting
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
- ARRT (Registered) or RCIS required, or must obtain RCIS within 18 months of hire; Registered Respiratory Therapists must hold CV-specific RCIS or RCES certification
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications, both endorsed by the American Heart Association, must not expire prior to start date
- Fluoroscopy Certification required
- Radiation monitoring badges must be supplied by the candidate's vendor
- Active license required if applicable
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
- Provides technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures, including assisting physicians with radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular cases
- Acts as scrub assistant, maintaining sterile conditions throughout clinical procedures
- Operates imaging equipment and monitors and documents procedure images and events from the control room
- Provides patient care under RN supervision and educates patients and families on procedure expectations and pre/post-procedure conditions
- Maintains appropriate stock levels for complex interventions and diagnostic procedures and assists in keeping the unit clean and organized
- Participates in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Former permanent staff at any Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
