American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Urbana, IL, requiring a minimum of 3 years of ED nursing experience and active Epic proficiency.

- Hospital Emergency Department setting \n
- Mid shift: 1:00 PM – 1:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week) \n
- 2 on-call shifts required per 6-week schedule period; call shifts are 13 hours with expectation to be onsite within one hour of being called \n
- A mandatory 2-week nights rotation is required of all travelers \n
- Block scheduling is not available \n
- Every other weekend shift required \n
- Holiday coverage on a rotation basis \n
- Epic EMR required; experience must be reflected on candidate profile \n
- No floating requirements \n
- \n
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted) \n
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS \n
- TNCC preferred \n
- Minimum 3 years of relevant ED nursing experience \n
- Level 2 or higher trauma center experience preferred; Level 1 trauma experience is strongly preferred and must be reflected on candidate profile \n
- Epic EMR experience required \n
- ASN required; BSN preferred \n

- Provides nursing care to ED patients including initial assessment, care plan development, implementation of nursing interventions, and ongoing evaluation \n
- Responsible for accurate and up-to-date patient documentation \n
- Collaborates with providers, patients, and families to ensure safe, effective care \n
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible \n
- Requested time off (RTO) not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract \n
- Travelers who have been on assignment with this health system for 1 continuous year must either convert to permanent staff or take a 6-month break in service before returning to any location within the health system \n
