Position Overview:
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest service, and driving financial and operational success. This role involves managing Squad Members while upholding company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations:
· Supervise daily restaurant operations to maintain high standards of food quality, service, and sanitation.
· Manage and oversee Squad Members.
· Assign and monitor daily tasks and responsibilities.
· Order and maintain inventory levels to ensure operational efficiency.
· Reconcile cash registers at shift openings and closings.
· Maintain accurate records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
· Ensure adherence to food safety and workplace safety regulations.
Management:
· Assist the General Manager in recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and hiring staff.
· Conduct onboarding, training, and development for Squad Members.
· Provide performance management through coaching, feedback, and discipline as necessary.
· Adjust and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing.
Leadership:
· Exhibit professionalism and a positive attitude at all times.
· Communicate effectively with the General Manager, staff, customers, vendors, and community members.
· Assist in leading staff meetings and ensuring team alignment with company goals.
· Delegate tasks appropriately and resolve employee concerns as needed.
· Support the General Manager in achieving business objectives.
· Address customer issues with professionalism and efficiency.
· Perform additional duties as assigned.
Work Conditions:
· Flexible schedule with a commitment to a 40-hour work week, extended hours as needed.
· Frequent standing and walking.
· Regular interaction with guests and staff, requiring professionalism and courtesy.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
· 1-2 years of experience in restaurant management or a leadership role.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Proficiency in math and computer skills.
· Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong leadership abilities.
· Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
