Job Description
We are looking for a full-time pediatric occupational therapist to join our dynamic team. Our therapists collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive assessment to determine a treatment plan based on a child's unique needs. Our therapists focus on functional independence in all areas of daily living and the progression of age-appropriate developmental skills in a child's home, community, and school environments. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping children develop these necessary functional skills to prepare them for the transition to become an independent adult. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ physical, emotional, and social needs to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' functional abilities and independence in daily living activities.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure effective discharge planning for clients transitioning from various care settings.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding treatment goals, progress, and strategies for managing conditions at home.
  • Document client progress and modify treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to address specific needs such as autism spectrum disorders, occupational health concerns, and rehabilitation for pediatric populations.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all patients during therapy sessions.
Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience in pediatrics and working with children with autism is preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of ADLs and the ability to develop effective discharge plans.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in occupational therapy.
