    Job Details
  • Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
  • Appropriately assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Circulates during C/Sections, attends deliveries assisting the physician as needed.
  • Follows appropriate policies during the recovery and care of surgical patients.
  • Attends the neonatal station in the C/Section suite and completely assesses the neonate post delivery.
  • Attends fetal monitoring certification classes every two years.
  • Attends STABLE certification class if offered and is NRP certified.
  • Able to identify necessary information to be communicated to physicians and patients.
    Job Requirements
  • Must have WY RN or RN compact license.
  • Must have 2 years recent RN Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN & L&D/LDRP experience.
  • This can include taking care of OB/GYN patients (post-op hysterectomy), Antepartum care, Triage care, Labor and Delivery care, and Postpartum.
  • Candidate may be required to float to another unit depending on facility census, only as helping hands or as sitter.
    Schedule Information
  • 36 hours per week.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Unit includes Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, Labor & Delivery (L&D/LDRP).
  • May float to other units as needed for helping hands or sitter duties.
