American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position at a short-term acute care hospital in Cookeville, TN, with oncology patient experience and night shift availability required.
Details- Med/Surg unit within a 232-bed short-term acute care hospital
- Patient population includes general medical/surgical and inpatient oncology patients
- Patient ratio of 1:5-6
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Floating within scope required to meet facility needs; ratio of 1:5-6 will never be exceeded
- No on-call requirements
- Charting system: Paragon
- Free parking on-site
- Active RN license — TN state license or compact RN license currently in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- Provides medical/surgical nursing care, including to inpatient oncology patients
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Block scheduling is not available for this position
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Time-off requests are considered on a case-by-case basis
