Department/Unit Summary
Our Pediatrics Department is a 6-bed unit with a 1:4 nurse to patient ratio. We primarily see infants admitted for hyperbilirubinemia, post-op T & A, and low acuity respiratory cases. In times of low census, Pediatric Nurses also provide care for post-op GYN patients and mother/baby.

Qualifications:
Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current VA (or Multi-state) RN license and
possess
a nursing degree from an accredited nursing school (
Bachelor’s
degree preferred).
Additional
requirements include:
American Heart Association Basic Life Support
Experience in clinical area preferred
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Associationâ?¯
