The Registered Nurse (RN) I position focuses on providing specialized care for orthopedic and spine patients in a 32-bed unit at a center of excellence. The role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals, assessing patient needs, planning and implementing care strategies, and evaluating patient responses. Candidates must have a current RN license and preferred experience in the healthcare field, with various benefits and opportunities for advancement.
Overview:
Compensation/Benefits $27.84-$45.46/hr depending on previous work experience. Evening differential $2.50/hr. Night differential $3.00/hr. Weekend differential $3.00/hr. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, short term, long term disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, scholarship opportunities, retirement plans, free parking, and opportunities for advancement. Ortho/Spine is a 32 bed unit specializing in orthopedic patients. We have disease specific certification from the Joint Commission in Hip Replacement, Knee Replacement and Hip Fx patients which deems us a center of excellence. We also care for Total Shoulder and Ankle patients as well as other fractures. We also care for low level cardiac patients and some med-surg patients. Responsibilities:
collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data, establishing goals, planning care strategy, establishing priorities of care, implementing care, delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care, evaluating responses to interventions, and performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation. Qualifications:
Education Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred. Experience Previous experience in healthcare field preferred. (Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).
Licensure/Certification Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license or active Multistate RN license. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment. New grads are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program.
