Machinist Set-Up Specialist

JOB DUTIES:

• Operate up to two CNC machinery simultaneously to fabricate PTFE parts.
• Operate the various CNC machines within the machining value stream.
• Troubleshooting of programs, with minor editing as needed.
• Perform own set-ups and those of Machine Operator-LG 5*.
• Train other associates.
• Review quality of junior machinists.
• Read and understand blueprints.
• Use measuring equipment such as scales, micrometers, PI tapes, optical comparators, and calipers.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
• Participate in, and continuously improve, the facility's certification programs (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, AS9100, etc.) to achieve plant goals and objectives.
• Maintain exceptional standards of quality and performance for Machinist Specialist.
  1. Quality: Defined as having no more than 3 active verbal written, written warnings or note to files
  2. Performance: Will not have output that is more than 10% below the average attainment of all the operators of the same assigned area
• Other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

• Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery.
• 2nd Operation machining.
• Counting and kitting of components for shipment.
• Operate manual lathe and drill press as required.
