Job Summary
Are you an experienced janitorial professional looking for a leadership opportunity? We are seeking a Janitorial Supervisor to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities while leading a team of custodians. This role ensures that all areas, including bathrooms, hallways, and kitchens, are kept clean and safe. If you have strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach, we want to hear from you!
What You Will Do
- Ensure that bathrooms, hallways, kitchens, and other facility areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
- Respond to maintenance requests, including minor repairs.
- Move furniture as needed.
- Unpack and restock supplies in cafeterias and kitchenettes.
- Supervise and support custodial staff, ensuring work is completed to high standards.
- Monitor work quality and ensure thoroughness and accuracy.
- Oversee safety practices and step in as a substitute custodian when necessary.
You're an Ideal Candidate If You Have:
- High School Diploma or GED required (a combination of education and experience will be considered).
- 2-4 years of janitorial experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- A valid driver’s license (preferred, with fewer than 6 points on record).
- Ability to adapt to changing tasks and priorities with a positive approach.
- Strong leadership skills, including training and supervising custodial staff.
- Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and listening.
- Customer-focused mindset, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for all.
- Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of janitorial software (JAMS Droid apps preferred).
