pPosition Summary:/p pCreate an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department, and monitor all established quality assurance standards. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others./ph3Responsibilities/h3divul liCreate an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store./li liGain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and be able to respond to questions and make suggestions about products./li liOffer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about./li liInform customers of Drug GM specials./li liRecommend Drug GM items to customers to ensure they get the products they want and need./li liReview "sell by" dates and take appropriate action./li liLabel, stock and inventory department merchandise./li liReport product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager./li liDisplay a positive attitude./li liStay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads./li liReinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management./li liPractice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair./li liNotify management of customer or employee accidents./li liReport all safety risk, or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud./li liAbility to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment./li liAbility to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner./li liAbility to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information./li liAbility to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues./li liProvide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults./li liMust be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation./li /ul/divh3Qualifications/h3divul liRetail experience/li liAbility to handle stressful situations/li liEffective communication skills/li liKnowledge of basic math/li /ul/divh2Company/h2divdiv Based in California, Ralph’s merged with The Kroger Company in 1998.
