In this role you will support a positive safety culture by directing the activities and staff within a 24/7 aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. You will work with a great group of people who really care about the job you do./span/p pspanAs a Senior Electrical Technician, you will be part of a maintenance team that maintains the plant operations. Our Maintenance team members have the opportunity to learn and grow on the job. You’ll use blueprints, schematics, small/power tools, and electronic test equipment to perform a variety of maintenance tasks and determine causes of operating problems in areas including, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical systems/components, HVAC, carpentry, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources, and mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. /span/p pspanArcosa Lightweight is a leading producer and distributor in the Western and Southwestern U.S. of lightweight and natural aggregates, including expanded shale and clay, crushed stone, sand and gravel, asphalt rock, and other products. /span/p pspan style="text-decoration: underline;"The candidate will need to verify work experience by having either: electrical union card, journeyman’s card, or apprentice card./span/p pstrongWhat You Will Do:/strong/p ul lispanComply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations. /span/li lispanPerform basic preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment such as motors, conveyers, mechanical components or electrical wiring and electrical components for production equipment /span/li lispanRead blueprints /span/li lispanTroubleshoot basic 3 Phase/equipment up to 600v /span/li lispanLay out, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies equipment or finished product electronic components, pars, switch panels, electronic equipment, and systems. /span/li lispanMay test new equipment, troubleshoot operation, and make adjustments to equipment./span/li lispanPerforms high voltage electrical repairs (e.g., controls, relays). Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment. /span/li lispanTroubleshoots and repairs electronic, mechanical, or electrical computer-controlled equipment. /span/li lispanMay input or perform PLC. /span/li lispanFollows all safety rules and practices. /span/li lispanMay be involved in safety committees or initiatives. /span/li lispanPerforms advanced repairs, troubleshoots electrical problems, performs preventative maintenance and testing on electrical wiring and components of production equipment and facilities infrastructure. /span/li lispanInstalls electrical panels, relays and switches. /span/li lispanReads and troubleshoots basic PLC programming. /span/li lispanPerform other duties as assigned/span/li /ul pstrongWhat You Will Need:/strong/p ul lispanPrompt, regular and predictable attendance/span/li lispan The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet as required. /span/li lispan The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy) /span/li lispanOn the job training /span/li lispanOperating front end loader, bobcat, and dump truck /span/li lispanUnderstands principles of electricity/electrical control and understands general electrical schematics /span/li lispanFully capable of trouble shooting and testing all electrical applications /span/li lispanExperience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred /span/li lispanWilling to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed /span/li lispanHigh school diploma or GED equivalent /span/li lispanMinimum of 1 year of related electrical experience /span/li lispanThe ability to read blueprints/span/li /ul pstrongWorking Conditions: /strong/p ul lispanWork environment includes plant, production and non-production areas and plant grounds. /span/li lispanThis position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays. /span/li lispanAbility to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant./span/li /ul pstrongSafety Activities: /strong/p ul liBe aware of and observe all safety practices.
