pDescription/ppThe Food Runner assists servers in delivering food to the proper table at the right time, clearing dirty plates and silverware, responding to other guest needs, and any other tasks that contribute to the smooth flow of the shift./ppuResponsibilities/u/pulliCheck food for accuracy, presentation and temperature prior to removing it from the window/liliCommunicate with all parts of the kitchen so food ticket is executed correctly/liliDeliver food to tables promptly/liliAnswer questions about the food if ask guest asks/liliPre-bus soiled plates from guest tables/liliTidy work stations and expo area/liliUnderstand restaurant layout in order for food to be delivered correctly/li/ulpuWorking Conditions/u/pulliStand for the entirety of scheduled shift/liliWalk/move around the restaurant for the majority of scheduled shift/liliBe able to lift up to 20 lbs./liliBe able to hold warm plates in order to deliver food to guests in a timely fashion/li/ulpuSkills/u/pulliStrong verbal skills/liliStrong knowledge of menu items/liliAbility to move quickly to ensure food is delivered promptly and that food in the window doesn’t sit for longer than expected/li/ulpuEducation/Experience/u/pulliHigh School Diploma or equivalent is preferred/lili1-2 years of experience in food service/hospitality field/liliHigh volume restaurant experience is a plus/li/ul
