The Y’s Mental Health Services Department is dedicated to addressing the critical need for accessible, high-quality mental and behavioral health services, as well as social support, for individuals of all ages.nbsp;/ppbr//ppUnder the supervision of the Director of Mental Health Services, the strongMental Health Program Specialist/strong will be responsible for overseeing program recruitment, conducting participant assessments and screenings, managing cases, delivering individual and group programming and curricula, and coordinating various programs and events./ppbr//ppWhile demonstrating a commitment to the YMCA's core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Faith, the strongMental Health Program Specialist/strong will also be passionate about mental health and well-being; exhibit exceptional empathy, cultural competence, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse, multilingual community./ppbr//ppstrongEssential Duties:/strong/polliLearn and deliver various program curricula such as Strengthening Families, Overcoming Obstacles, and Skills to Pay the Bills.nbsp;/liliFacilitate the recruitment of program participants including responding to calls and inquiries from potential program participants in a respectful and professional manner and engaging in networking and marketing efforts./liliCoordinate and prepare for meetings and events including room reservation, set-up and breakdown./liliUtilize electronic health record, internal and external programs/software to create and submit assigned documentation in a timely, accurate manner including but not limited to time sheets, progress and group notes.nbsp;/liliConduct initial basic screenings and assessments for program participants.nbsp;/liliEngage with program participants weekly to support the realization of Individual Success Plans, Treatment Plans and Goal Achievement. nbsp;/liliSupport event coordination and execution for Department of Mental Health Services such as marketing/tabling events, fairs and presentations.nbsp;/liliFacilitate the creation of an environment that fosters physical and emotional safety for program participants and families.nbsp;/liliResponsible for other duties, as assigned./li/olpstrongPosition Details:/strong/pullistrongNonexempt:/strong 15-25 hours per week.
