Engineer in Training (EIT I-EIT III Depending on Experience) - Full-time

pDescription/ppEntry-level developmental position involving the application of engineering fundamentals to the design and construction of roadway and transportation projects. The position will provide exposure to different engineering disciplines and provide a solid foundation in transportation consulting and roadway construction.nbsp;/ppRequirements/pulliApply principles of Materials Testing and Acceptance for highway construction projects./liliAssist with Geotechnical Investigations and Pavement Design Recommendations./liliAssist others in performing research or quantity calculations and analyzing information and data for routine engineering tasks./liliPerform various engineering assignments of limited scope which require the application of standard techniques and procedures. Activities will include project site work as well as office functions.nbsp;/liliParticipate in a variety of activities, such as construction inspection, materials testing, field data collection, and CADD production./liliParticipate in the preparation of engineering reports containing analysis, evaluations and engineering recommendations./liliProvide Construction Management tasks, including review of project submittals, schedule reviews, and contract compliance./liliConduct design tasks as part of a project team. Meet regularly with Project Managers and/or Senior Engineers./liliDevelop design drawings using computer-aided design tools./liliReceive instructions from Project Managers and/or Senior Engineers./liliAdhere to the requirements of the internal Quality Management System (QMS)./liliFieldwork and travel to project sites required./liliAbility to obtain required certifications for position./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulpstrongMinimum Qualifications/strong/pulliB.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering from accredited engineering program./liliWillingness to take direction and receive constructive feedback from senior staff./liliExcellent interpersonal and organizational skills./liliAble to work independently to perform assigned tasks, as well as to contribute to a project team./liliPositive can-do attitude and ability to interact well with a variety of people./liliStrong technical writing skills, including strong use of English grammar./liliProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint./liliPrevious experience in using engineering software systems or demonstrated technical ability and willingness to learn engineering software./liliMaintain required qualifications for operation of company vehicles, including valid driver's license and insurable driving record./liliAbility and willingness to travel and work throughout Colorado to project sites and for extended periods when needed./liliAbility to work nontraditional or extended hours, nights and weekends, if necessary, to meet project deadlines.nbsp;/liliAbility to routinely lift and/or move up to 65 pounds./li/ulpstrongPreferred Qualifications/strong/pulliEIT certification preferred./liliExperience with Microsoft Project Scheduling Software./liliExperience with Revu (Bluebeam)./liliMaterials testing certifications such as CAPA, ACI, and WAQTC./liliIBC General Inspection and related IBC Certifications./liliExperience with Microstation or InRoads software./liliRelated civil engineering or industry internship or work experience./li/ulpstrongWork Environment/strong/pulliCombination of field and office work environments.
