Program Director - Gymnastics Camp - Part-time

pDescription/ppnbsp;/ppA Ninja Program Director represents the YMCA as a team leader in ninja seasonal programs. The primary responsibility is to provide a safe, educational and enjoyable camp day to participants of a variety of ages. Ninja will be based on the AAI G2N Ninja program and system./ppbr//ppstrongPrinciple Activities:/strong/pulliMaintains a safe environment; responsible for the supervision of their campers within the group structure/liliEffectively teaches G2N skills with age-appropriate safety and properly using demonstrations and equipment; adhere to safety procedures set forth by supervisor(s)/liliMaintains cleanliness of gymnastics/ninja area, sets up/cleans up obstacle courses before and after each day/liliWrite lesson plans to ensure groups at camp run smooth and each child has the opportunity for advancement; give suggestions/recommendations to ensure camp runs effectively/liliHelp create and implement ninja stations for specific ninja skill development, while also including basic gymnastics skills/liliEffectively communicate between staff, parents, and supervisor/liliBe a role model and set an example in words and actions/liliAttend scheduled staff meetings and YMCA trainings/liliReports Incidents/Accidents using an Incident/Accident Report Form. Reports information accurately, thoroughly, and legibly/liliMake sure participants are having a fun and engaging experience/li/ulpstrongJob Qualifications:nbsp;/strong/pulliMinimal ninja experience required, coaching experience a plusnbsp;/liliAbility to effectively communicate with parents and staff/liliLeadership skills/liliAbility to give and receive appropriate feedback/liliGood interpersonal skills/liliAbility to take initiative to help each part of the camp day run smoothly and effectively/li/ulpPay Range: $17 - $19hr based on experience and job responsibilities./p
