They are responsible for the evaluations and treatment plans for the new clients being added to their caseloads as well as the development and maintenance of client’s currently on their caseload. The Licensed Clinical Social Worker is also responsible for maintaining communication with their clients parents to discuss progress and treatment plans./p pstrongEssential Functions:/strong/p ul liDiscuss provision of family therapy services for parents of children with verbal communication skills able to engage in talk therapy age 3+ and provision of individual sessions age 5-6+ pending clinical evaluation/li liPerform initial evaluations of client needs/li liConduct behavioral observations, implement long-term and short-term interventions, and develop individualized treatment plans/li liProvide detailed documentation and records of evaluations and treatments/li liAddress issues such as depression, bullying, various mental health issues and learning difficulties in children by providing appropriate psychological intervention/li liAdjust communication patterns to the age and level of understanding of the child. This may sometimes include nonverbal means of communication/li liProvide support and advice to the child’s parents about every angle of their care that has to do with the therapy needs of the child/li liConduct risk assessment and initiate appropriate crisis interventions/li liProvide psychoeducation to clients, families and internal team members/li liServe as a clinical supervisor to LPC/MSW/MA level prepared team members/li liMaintain targeted caseload hours of 25 therapy per week /li /ulh4Qualifications/h4brpstrongRequired Education, Experience and Credentials:/strong/p ul liMaster’s degree from a CACREP accredited university/li /ul ul liLCSW licensure in the state of Illinois/li /ul ul liPrior experience working with children and families/li liCPR Certification required within 90 days of hire /li /ul pstrongKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:/strong/p ul liPassion for working with children with special needs/li liStrong verbal and written communication skills/li liCompetence with a variety of computer applications/li /ul p /p pstrongPersonal Attributes:/strong/p ul liInterpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication skills/li liCollaborative spirit and willingness to work as a team/li liCreative mindset for making therapy fun/li liProcess oriented with strong attention to detail/li liAccountability/li liProblem Solving/li liInitiative/li /ul p /p pstrongWork Environment and Physical Demands:/strong/p p /p ul liAble to provide training in, and implement, de-escalation skills for clients/li liAbility to lift or carry 30 lbs/li liAbility to work in a variety of positions, including on the floor during played-based therapystrong /strong/li /ul p /p pstrongTravel Requirements/strong/p ul liSome travel within assigned region for training, meetings and supporting client coverage needs./li /ul pstrongOther Duties/strong/p pPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
