Lifeguard at Tropic Falls, Full-Time

pFull-time Lifeguards are required to work at least 30 hours per week during periods when the park is operating weekends only. They are required to work at least 40 hours per week during periods when the park is operating daily./p pBenefits include:/p ul liPaid time off/li liHealth, dental, and vision insurance/li li401K eligibility/li liComplimentary season pass/li liTickets for family and friends/li liPotential earnings of $30K+/yr/li /ul pstrongDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:/strong/p ul liMaintain a professional appearance by adhering to uniform and grooming standards/li liProactively monitor and scan assigned zones of pools and attractions/li liMaintain Jeff Ellis Associates Lifeguarding certification program standards/li liMaintain focus and acute awareness at all times/li liRecognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies/li liProfessionally communicate and politely enforce policies to ensure the safety of all guests/li liPerform and document safety inspections of attractions, features, slides, and equipment/li liAssist and guide guests around water slides and features/li liProvide outstanding service according to company standards/li liMaintain a safe, efficient, and inclusive environment for all guests and team members/li liAssist with maintaining the cleanliness of Tropic Falls including vacuuming pools, sweeping decks, picking up trash, and keeping work areas neat, clean, and organized/li liProject a positive image to all guests and team members/li /ul pstrongREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:/strong/p ul liAt least 18 years old/li liHigh school diploma or GED/li liMust have reliable transportation and report to work on time as scheduled/li liAble to obtain and maintain Jeff Ellis and Associates (EA) Lifeguard Training Program License; training and licensing will be provided once hired/li liMaintain license through participation in monthly in-service training and upholding EA standards/li liAttention to detail and commitment to safety/li liStrong organizational and communication skills/li liAbility to work in a fast-paced environment/li liMust be able to react well under stressful and emergency situations/li liWilling to work during operating hours on a flexible schedule which will include nights, weekends, and holidays/li liMust be able to stand and be immersed in water for extended periods of time/li liMust be able to work in all weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, and rain/li liAbility to climb multiple flights of stairs/li liCurrent valid driver’s license/li liSuccessful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen/li /ul
