pstrongESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:/strongbr /strongSupervisory-Specific Performance Expectations, Duties, and Responsibilities:/strongbr /o N/Abr /strongPosition-Specific Performance Expectations, Duties, and Responsibilities:/strongbr /o Greets patients and visitors.br /o Facilitates communication within the unit and organization.br /o Assists the healthcare team in accurately maintaining patient medical records.br /o Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with the team to meet br /the physical and emotional needs of the patient.br /o Assists physicians and nurses and/or performs technical procedures delegated within the scope of practice.br /o Utilize critical treatment skills such as phlebotomy, wound irrigation and dressing, EKGs, specimen br /collection.br /o Nursing Services Technician will work through a competency list to include patient care tech skills, br /documentation, and all treatments or procedures listed above upon orientation to position.br /o Observes and reports any changes in patient condition or behavior to the RN or physician.br /o Assists with patient flow and keeping the department and patient rooms clean, stocked, and orderly.br /o Performs clerical duties including admission orders, filling out appropriate forms, arranging for patient br /transfers, and communicating with interdisciplinary teams.br /o Answers the telephone in a polite manner and communicates information to the appropriate personnel or family. br /o Directs calls to the appropriate person/department.br /o Documents accurately and consciously the needs of the unit.br /o Communicates clearly, honestly, appropriately, and in a timely manner with patients, families, and care team br /members.br /o Completes documentation with accuracy according to facility guidelines.br /o Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fastpaced environment.br /o Respects the confidentiality of patient information and adheres to HIPAA and facility guidelines.br /o Demonstrates caring attitudes and behaviors to develop therapeutic relationships.br /o Demonstrates respect, equity, and empathy in actions and interactions with culturally diverse and vulnerable patients.br /o Demonstrates knowledge of facility safety procedures.br /o Performs other duties as assigned/p

pbr /strongPreferred Education/Licensure/Certification:/strongbr /o High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.br /o Licensed Practice Nurse License, Certified Nursing Aid License, EMT, or Medical Assistant preferred and license br /must be unencumbered./p
pstrongRequired Certification:/strongbr /o Current BLS certification (or must be obtained within 90 days)./p
