pDescription/ppThe Housekeeper reports to and receives supervision from the Housekeeping Supervisor or the Administrator and is responsible for performing a variety of general cleaning tasks in compliance with current applicable federal, state standards, guidelines and established policies and procedures to enhance the quality of life of our residents by maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment./ppRequirements/ppEssential Functions:/pulliDust furniture, light fixtures, lamps, window ledges, air conditioner units, etc.nbsp;nbsp;/liliClean and wash all sinks, toilets, restrooms, and their fixtures./li/ulpPick up bottles, papers, etc. from floors, rooms, and put in proper place./ppReport any needed repairs or unsafe conditions to Housekeeping supervisor./pulliClean and dust resident rooms as scheduled./liliVacuum lobby and waiting areas as scheduled./liliEmpty and change liners in all trash cans daily, or as needed./liliCheck vacant rooms weekly to keep fresh and keep furniture straight./liliClean equipment and work areas as scheduled./liliSelect materials and supplies from linen and supply rooms to fill work cart/liliReplenish supplies of soap, towels, and other dispensable items/liliPerform duties in a safe manner and comply with established policies and procedures/li/ulpService Excellence:/pulliWork efforts reflect a passion for exceeding customer service./liliDemonstrates professional greetings, proper telephone etiquette, common courtesy, a professional attitude, and appearance./liliPortrays the tenants of a Christ-centered organization./liliRecognizes the benefits of team collaboration. Shows respect for fellow employees./liliEffectively addresses customer concerns and resolves conflict in a manner that is respectful and fair to all./li/ulpbr//ppbr//ppQualifications:/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required/liliAbility to read, understand and write English to communicate effectively/liliAbility to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions/liliPrevious housekeeping experience, preferably in senior living, a plus but not required/liliKnowledge of and ability to operate floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, and related equipment/liliAbility to use various cleaning hand tools and supplies/liliAbility to work with strong cleaning and disinfecting solutions/liliAbility to learn routine tasks quickly/liliAbility to perform a variety of repetitive manual tasks that require agility and manual dexterity/liliMust enjoy working with the senior population/li/ulpbr//p
