Production Operator

pDescription/ppnbsp;This position is responsible for a variety of tasks associated with processing, packaging and blending polymer products./ppRequirements/ppnbsp;nbsp;/pp• Operating packaging equipment such as boxing stations and bagging stations./pp• Erecting, pre-labeling, and preparing packaging for customers, clients, and other end users./pp• Performing "Class A" cleanups on packaging equipment./pp• Performing mandatory facility checks including scales, metal deflectors, and magnets./pp• Responsible for the safe operations of power trucks./pp• Responsible for the safe and secure operations of extrusion and/or compounding feed system equipment as directed by management.nbsp;/pp• Building batches to specified product formulas, supplying material to additive feeders, filling and positioning tote bins and operating fiber processing equipment./pp• Responsible for the safe and secure operations of extrusion and/or compounding equipment such as extruders and/or compounders, temperature controllers, sluiceways, quench tanks, pelletizers, cooler-screeners, and product transfer equipment./pp• Monitoring and recording raw materials used in the process, processing conditions, quality test results, and other production data./pp• Performing "Class A" cleanups on extrusion and compounding equipment./pp• Service as a resource on quality improvement teams and safety teams./ppstrongMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:nbsp;/strong/pp• Ability to understand, monitor, and regulate integrated production and packaging equipment./ppstrongEDUCATION/strong:nbsp;/pp• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent./ppstrongKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES/strong:nbsp;/pp• nbsp;Attention to detail/pp• Problem solving skills./ppstrongPHYSICAL DEMANDS/strong: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
