Banquet Server - Part-time

pDescription/ppnbsp;nbsp;/ppThe Sheraton by Marriott of Eatontown is seeking a positive, service-oriented, energetic leader to join our team as a Banquet Server. The Banquet Server will work closely with the hotel’s Famp;B staff.nbsp;/ppJob responsibilities include (but are not limited to): br/nbsp;/pp* Set up events including chairs, tables, stations, buffet equipment, linens, silver, and china accordance to hotel standards./pp* Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility, and uses teamwork when providing guest service. br/ * Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest issues.br/ * Serve food, coffee, water and other beverages; refills as needed.br/ * Clears tables throughout the dining experience using proper methods for removing dishes, glassware and silverware. br/ * Cleans banquet room and banquet kitchen area during and after banquet functions./pp* Performs other duties as required to provide genuine hospitality. br/ br/nbsp;/ppstrongAs Banquet Server, you will/strong/pp· Understand Banquet Event Orders to safely, efficiently set up and break down events effectually.nbsp;/pp· Assist service staff to set up and break down buffet or other special food service tables and equipment./pp· Efficiently complete prep and side work to enable focused guest care and maintain an orderly, clean station during events./pp· Provide friendly, professional guest service with genuine care. Be familiar with menu offerings in order to entice guests with its ingredients and preparations./pp· Respond promptly, courteously, and effectively to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns. Know when to alert a manager, should the need arise./ppRequirements/ppnbsp;nbsp;/pp· Ability to work AM, PM, weekends, and holidays based on business demands./pp· Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and strong work ethic.nbsp;/pulliMust be neat, clean, motivated, provide professional nbsp;appearance./liliMust possess mature, professional demeanor to interact with vendors, staff and guests.nbsp;/liliMust be team oriented and a good team player./liliAbility to multitask and prioritize./liliAbility to work without direct supervision.
