As a Sonographer/Ultrasound Technologist, you will you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide Ultrasound services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes to our centers looking for answers. You will guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. br //span/p pspanPosition is a PRN technician to work at our Happy Valley location./span/p p /p pspanstrongESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:/strong/span/p pspan(90%) Patient Ultrasound Imaging/span/p ul lispanScreens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure/span/li lispan Explains and prepares patients for Ultrasound imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately/span/li lispanPerforms routine and advanced Ultrasound imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure/span/li lispan Adjusts Ultrasound scan parameters correctly and as needed/span/li lispanMaintains positive attitude and working relationships with radiologist, referring customers and other associates and peers/span/li lispanFollows physicians' orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations to protect yourself, your patients, and coworkers/span/li lispanAccurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)/span/li lispanMaintains an orderly and clean work area promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers/span/li lispanMaintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements/span/li lispan Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use/span/li lispanEnsures compliance with all HIPAA guidelines/span/li lispanRoutinely prepares examination for interpretation by the radiologist to include correct identification and processing of films, adequate clinical history and previous x-rays for comparison (if available)/span/li lispanPractices and maintains standard precautions and infection control policy standardsbr /br //span/li /ul pspan(5%) Ultrasound Department Support/span/p ul lispanAssists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades/span/li lispanMonitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary/span/li lispanAssists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable/span/li /ul p /p pspan(5%) Completes other tasks as assignedbr //span/p
