The ideal candidate for this position will possess a good driving record and be focused on customer, personal and coworker safety. Meter Service Representatives work within the natural gas side of the operation to provide timely and quality service to our customers while maintaining high customer service./p /div/divdiv style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"bKey Accountabilities/b/H2 /divdivpulliAll meter reading activities including but not limited to:/liliShut off meters as trained and qualified./liliField collection activity including but not limited to:/liliTerminating service and/or collecting customer payments./liliGeneral shop work (e.g. Housekeeping, junking, shipping, deliveries/pickups, etc.)/liliAssist in 2-person assignments as needed./liliAssist with pipe fitting up to 2 inches./liliDriving is a significant portion of the workday in various-sized company vehicles./liliMay be required to handle substances considered hazardous under the U.S. Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Law or the Massachusetts Right to Know Law./liliInteract with internal departments and company employees to ensure an efficient overall process./liliPromote a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and efficient resource utilization, both throughout the department and project teams./liliWill also be expected to respond to emergency call out and work extended and planned hours when company emergencies occur./liliOther duties as assigned./liliMust be able to obtain gas pipeline operator qualification for progression in this career./li/ul/p/div/divdiv style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"bQualifications/b/H2 /divdivp /p ul liMust have a high school diploma or the equivalent./li liMust have good mechanical aptitude and ability, high degree of dependability, and capable of exercising good judgment./li liMust have the ability to perform physically demanding job-related activities./li liMust be able to work a flexible schedule including shifts, weekends, evenings, and holidays./li liIn a work day, must be able to climb 25-2500 stairs, walk 2 to 6 miles and kneel or bend for 20-60 percent of the day./li liMust be able to work within confined areas at times and in inclement weather and temperature extremes./li liMust possess the ability to develop positive customer relations; anticipate, identify, respond to customer needs and facilitate customer loyalty./li liAble to drive a company car / large van or truck on a daily basis./li liMust have valid and clean driver's license and be an approved driver of Company vehicles./li liMust pass Company physical and qualifying tests to enter Department/li liSuccessfully pass a criminal background check and required job assessment tests./li liDOT gas pipeline drug testing is a requirement for this position./li liMust pass the Field Assessment Test./li /ul p /p /div/divdiv style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"bMore Information/b/H2 /divdiv/div/div/divpPay rate:$20.82 an hour/p pPlease be advised that due to the nature of this position, incumbents are subject to federal Drug amp; Alcohol safety regulations governing US Department of Transportation ("DOT") covered positions, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA).
