Making certain the building(s) is clean and in orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Duties may include, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk. Job duties may include vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and small repair work. This position reports to the shift supervisor./p pEssential Duties and Responsibilities:/p ul liClean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them./li liGather and empty trash./li liService, clean, and supply restrooms./li liClean and polish furniture and fixtures./li liClean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees./li liDust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment./li liMix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications./li liStrip, seal, finish, and polish floors./li liDrive vehicles required to perform or travel to cleaning work, including vans, industrial trucks, or industrial vacuum cleaners./li liFollow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures./li liMove heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks./li liNotify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems./li liRemove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snowplows, snow blowers, and snow shovels, and spread snow melting chemicals. Entry way only as needed./li liRequisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties./li liSpray insecticides and fumigants to prevent insect and rodent infestation.strong /strong/li liOther duties as required by supervisor./li /ul pstrongOther Requirements:/strong/p ul liBasic Knowledge of repair techniques, or job training alongside and experienced custodian./li /ul pstrongAdvanced Skills:/strong/p p� Sanitation for Food Facility/p p� Finishing/Refinishing Floors/p p� Forklift Driver/p pstrongQualifications: /strong/p ul liHigh school diploma or GED./li /ul pstrongEducation and/or Experience Required:/strong/p ul liHigh School Diploma or general education diploma (GED)./li liAt least 6 months experience/li /ul pstrongLanguage Skills Sets:/strong/p ul liAbility to read, analyzes, and write. Ability to effectively follow orders and respond to questions from management./li /ul pstrongPhysical Demands: /strong/p ul liMust be able to occasionally reach/lift and/or move up to 50 pounds./li liMust be able to crouch or crawl under a 48� high shelf.
