pstrongEssential Functions and Basic Duties:/strongbr /strongPosition Specific Performance Expectations:/strongbr /o Demonstrates advanced knowledge of imaging procedures of at least two of the modalities listed below.br /o Practices radiation safety and adheres to ALARA standards.br /o Asks female patients if they are pregnant and protects them from harmful radiation.br /o Performs QC in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations.br /o Able to operate equipment consistent with manufacturer’s recommendations.br /o Performs all exams based on Imaging Department Protocols or protocols the exam with the Radiologist.br /o Assists with clerical duties and patient transportation when required.br /o Answers the telephone, directs calls, and accurately records messages as needed.br /o Assists, trains, or cross-trains imaging staff members as directed.br /o Completes equipment downtime form and immediately notifies manager of equipment issues.br /o Flexible in rearranging work schedule to help fill in for emergencies, illnesses, and vacations.br /o Must be self-motivated, use independent judgment, and be able to work with minimum supervision.br /o Notifies Radiologist of all STAT or Emergent cases and provides ordering physician contact information.br /o Obtains appropriate informed consents when required.br /o Performs and documents medical history as it relates to the patient and the procedure.br /o Positive and supportive team member to all staff members of the hospital.br /o Responsible for ordering, stocking, and maintaining supply inventory.br /o Submits all written orders, registration documents, and required imaging forms to Health Information Management br /and the Radiologist.br /o Troubleshoots equipment problems and independently calls service engineer if the malfunction needs outside br /maintenance.br /o Verifies exam orders, identifies patient thru two means of identification, and provides exam education.br /o Verifies that all relevant paperwork is completed and prior studies are available before submitting procedures to the br /Radiologist for interpretation.br /o Works overtime as directed and takes call as required.br /o May be required to obtain additional training or certification in order to meet the needs of the department.br /o Assists or rotates to other imaging modalities when required and within the scope of held licensure and/or registry.br /o Will be registered in at least two modalities.br /o Assists with taking call, working holidays, and/or weekends. br /The above statements reflect the general details considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as br /identified, and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all work requirements that may be inherent in the br /position.br /o Performs other duties as assigned/p pOrganization Wide Performance Expectations:br /o Demonstrates 100% commitment to performing according to the CHOICE values of MRH and representing the br /organization in a positive and professional manner.br /o Establishes and maintains effective verbal and written communication and good working relationships with all br /patients, staff and vendors. br /o Adheres to MRH attire/dress code per policies and procedures.br /o Utilizes initiative;
