Selects equipment and plans layout and assembly of welding.  Works closely and interacts with supervision.  Works with precise limits and standards of accuracy./p pstrongTYPICAL RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES:/strong/p ul liActively supports the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values.”/li liRepresents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.”/li liEfficiently produce quality welds. /li liPerform or assist with fit‐up and preparation of welds./li liPerform or assist with post weld cleanup, inspection, and repair./li liCommunicate regularly with the Field Foreman with regard to issues and concerns /li lion the job site./li liComply with all Matrix safety policies and programs.   /li liIdentify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards./li /ul pstrongKnowledge, Skills, Abilities:/strong/p pstrongTank Welders/strong must be able to pass the following weld tests./p pstrongCarbon Steel Plate Test:/strong/p ul liFCAW (Flux Core) – 2G, 3G, 4G/li liSMAW E6010 (5P) 3G, Downhill/li liSMAW E7018 – 2G, 3G, 4G/li /ul pstrongSpecialty Vessel Welders/strong must be able to pass the following weld tests./p pstrong9% Nickel Plate Test:/strong/p ul liFCAW (ENiCrMo3T1-4) - 2G, 3G, 4G/li liFCAW (ENiCrMo-6) - 2G, 3G, 4G/li /ul ul liMust maintain a 95-100% pass rate on weld X-ray/visual exams./li liMust be able to read prints and written instructions as well as follow verbal directions required to perform duties and responsibilities./li liFollow welding procedure specifications when welding./li /ul ul liMatrix Welders will receive a competitive compensation. Rate pay will be established upon successful completion of weld test./li /ul pstrong /strongstrongQualifications:/strong/p ul listrongTank Building experience, preferred./strong/li liMust obtain and maintain an active status within the drug testing program and pass background screening./li liMust possess or be able to pass the Basic Safety Council Class Courses/li liMust complete the Matrix Service Basic Safety training and site-specific training./li liMust possess a valid TWIC card. /li liSite may require fire retardant clothing./li liMaintain clean shaven and/or free of facial hair so that a respirator/face mask can seal properly. (Site Specific)/li liMust be willing to frequently travel/relocate./li liMust be willing to work frequent overtime./li /ul pstrongPhysical Requirements:/strong/p ul liMust be able to perform tasks at heights./li liWork will include pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 60 pounds, such as raw or fabricated material, equipment or tools. Heavy lifting will often be required to perform tasks. /li liMust be able to kneel, squat, and climb.  Work will include frequent bending, kneeling, crouching and stooping and occasional climbing onto equipment and/or trailers. Work involves standing and/or walking for extended periods of time, up to a minimum of 8-10 hours per day/li liMust be able to perform required duties for extended periods of time, often inside confined spaces./li liMust be able to perform tasks in hot and cold temperatures./li /ul pIllinois law requires pay information in job postings. The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience, specific skill set, geographic location, internal equity, and other factors influencing pay.
