The Cafe Attendant is involved in most aspects of day to day operations, such as inventory, sales, cash handling, sales reconciliation, line service, etc., while maintaining a high level of customer service at all times; and must be able and willing to cross-train in more than one front of house positions like cashier, server, host, busser or general utility.brbrCurrently accepting applications for summer season - Start dates in March and Aprilp style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:left"span class="emphasis-2"Job Description:/span/ppspanbESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/b/span/pullispanTake orders from customers and cook foods requiring short preparation times, according to customer requirements./span/lilispanPerform food preparation tasks, such as making sandwiches, carving meats, making soups or salads, baking breads or desserts, and brewing coffee or tea./span/lilispanResponsible for setting up, restocking, and breaking down of the food preparation equipment, work areas, and counters or tables./span/lilispanRestock kitchen supplies and rotate food./span/lilispanAccept payments and issue receipts, refunds, credit, or change due to customers accurately as necessary./span/lilispanMaintain clean and orderly cash station area; stock and maintain cash station area with various supplies and products./span/lilispanMay be assigned to other duties as required by the Shift Supervisor or Manager(s)./span/liliMust be able and willing to cross-train in more than one front of house positions like cashier, server, host, busser or general utility./li/ulpspanbSKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE/b/span/pullispanPartial High School education; High School Diploma/G.E.D. preferred. /span/lilispanWork is assigned orally and in written form; individual must be able to interpret menus and recipes, and be able to follow directions/span/lilispanGood visual and communication skills/span/lilispanAbility to record information to the culinary production sheets/span/lilispanKnowledge of industry standards regarding sanitation/span/lilispanWilling to be cross-trained in other areas of the work place/span/li/ulpspanbPHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS/b/span/pullispanMoving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment. /span/lilispanLifting, carrying, and pushing up to 25 lbs. regularly, 30-35 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally./span/lilispanAbility to stand for the entire work day. /span/lilispanAbility to climb steps regularly. /span/lilispanWithstanding temperature extremes in freezer, refrigerator walk-in and cooking areas./span/lilispanReading and writing work-related documents in English./span/lilispanSpeech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English./span/lilispanConstantly communicates and receives verbal communication with other employees in fast-paced kitchen./span/lilispanPhysical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties. /span/li/ulpspanbEQUIPMENT USED/b/span/pullispanStandard commercial cooking machinery and utensils./span/lilispanCash register/span/li/ulp style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:left"Founded in 1917, Guest Services has worked tirelessly to earn the reputation as the premier hospitality management company and National Park Service concessionaire in the United States.
