When possible, encourage the highest practicable level of independence. [1]/ppProvide supervision of residents to maintain safety of resident and peers at all times. nbsp;Maintain a safe, clean environment free of hazards. nbsp;After meals, assure that dining area floors, tables, chairs and wheelchairs etc. are cleaned of food and liquids. [2]/ppFollow directions and perform care as assigned and report progress with those assignments. nbsp;Document care provided to residents in their chart. Participate in defining needs of residents to assist in development of an individualized service plan for each resident. [3]/ppFollow all individual service plan approaches including those developed by other disciplines including Nursing Services, Physical, Speech, or Occupational Therapy. [2]/ppGather and document appropriate data on residents such as specific behaviors. nbsp;Immediately report changes in resident's physical and mental condition to community nurse for appropriate direction and intervention. [3]/ppUnderstand and follow oral or written directions. nbsp;Conscientiously observe facility rules, regulations and policies. [1]/ppPerform duties such as temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weights, medication administration and treatments according to residents ISP and under the general supervision of a Nurse as allowed under regulation and NP Act. [1]/ppCoordinate and accompany residents to worksites, appointments, and a variety of community events. Drives facility vehicles in the transportation of residents to community events, medical or dental appointments etc. nbsp;[3]/ppProvide treatment and medication administration to residents. [1]/ppMaintain resident rights and confidentiality of resident information. [3]/ppImmediately report all suspected cases of resident abuse or neglect to the Community Living Supervisor or Administrator. [3]/ppPerforms routine services including shoveling, flower beds, keeping outside grounds neat and clean. [2]/ppWork safely, following the safety practices and standards of the organization including Blood Borne Pathogen Standards. Uses a gait belt and proper body mechanics when involved in lifting, pushing or pulling activities.
