In this role, you will be responsible for the quality and efficiency of loading and unloading trailers, ensuring that all products are handled safely and accurately. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts and other equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and preparing loads to meet customer requirements./ppbr//ph3strongEssential Duties and Responsibilities/strong/h3ullistrongReceiving amp; Inventory Management:/strong Receive all inbound material orders, including labels and deliveries from UPS and FedEx./lilistrongLoading/Unloading:/strong Load and unload freight on trailers using a motorized forklift, pallet jack, or manually, following state and federal DOT guidelines./lilistrongFreight Transport:/strong Safely transport freight and equipment throughout the service center./lilistrongPallet Handling/strong: Manually pull and stack pallets as needed; rebuild damaged pallets prior to shipping./lilistrongEquipment Operation:/strong Operate heavy equipment such as manual pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and various forklifts./lilistrongTrailer Preload Coordination:/strong Inspect trailers to ensure loads are complete and accurate./lilistrongDocumentation:/strong Maintain accurate loading documentation for shipping, receiving, and inventory control./lilistrongWarehouse Maintenance:/strong Keep the warehouse clean, orderly, and safe at all times./lilistrongSafety Compliance:/strong Follow all safety protocols and maintain proper load security./li/ulpbr//ph3br//h3pRequirements/ph3strongMinimum Requirements/strong/h3ullistrongEducation:/strong High School Diploma or GED preferred./lilistrongExperience:/strong Previous forklift experience preferred/li/ulh3strongCompensation/strong/h3ullistrongCompensation:/strong $20.00 - $24.00 an hour, based on experience and location./lilistrongClassification: /strongNon-Exemptstrong, /strongsubject to all applicable state and federal laws.br//li/ulpstrongPhysical Requirements:/strong/pulliAbility to consistently lift, push, pull, or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift./liliMust be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift, including frequent movement between loading areas and trailers./liliRequires frequent bending at the waist, stretching, and reaching overhead to load and secure freight./liliMust be able to work in changing weather conditions if the loading/unloading area is exposed to outdoor elements./liliCapability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment as needed./li/ulh3strongEqual Opportunity Employer/strong/h3pMountain Valley Express is an at-will and equal opportunity employer.
