divpnbsp;/pulliPerform all duties in compliance with quality control, quality assurance, proficiency testing, safety requirements, and standards set by the College of American Pathologists and local, state, and federal agencies. Enter and certify laboratory results into Laboratory Information System(s) as applicable./liliAssist medical laboratory technicians, phlebotomists, hospital corpsmen, residents, and others in laboratory policies and procedures./liliSet up/monitoring quality controls; troubleshooting/performing maintenance on testing instruments; and performing proficiency testing for national accreditation./liliMaintain quality control on tests and procedures; review test findings obtained by personnel. Periodically check validity and accuracy of test results. Support all laboratory equipment and take appropriate corrective actions should quality control and/ or performance indicators fail./liliCommunicate with health care providers to ensure problems are resolved and their needs addressed./liliInitiate, recommend and effect measures to improve services and quality of current methodologies. Assist administration with determination of need for development of new services./liliConsult with administrative staff to ensure that they are informed of activities, needs, and problems. Consult with medical staff and other health care providers on matters relating to laboratory services./liliCooperate with the infection control committee and personnel to carry out environmental sampling program./liliPerform and/or assist staff in performance of difficult or unusual tests or procedures./liliAct as a resource to laboratory and medical staff./li/ul/div

div data-bind="html: Job.Requirements"pnbsp;/pullistrongDegree/Education/strong: Graduate from a medical laboratory technician training program accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or educational program acceptable to the American Medical Technologist (AMT)./lilistrongCertifications in addition to Basic Life Support:/strong Certification/registration as determined by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or AMT/lilistrongExperience:/strong Possess a minimum of one (1) year experience within the last three (3) years as a Medical Laboratory Technician/lilistrongBoard Certification:/strong N/A/lilistrongLicensure/Registration:/strong N/A/li/ul/div
