pWe are currently seeking an experienced industrial water treatment manager to lead a small group of operations and maintenance projects. This position will be responsible for oversight, operations, budgeting, scheduling and reporting. /p

liWorking with engineers to monitor and improve water treatment /li

liCollection of water samples /li

liOn-site testing /li

liRecord keeping /li

liChemical handling /li

liCoordination with other stakeholders at the site to assure compliance with our client’s strict process and HS protocols /li

liLead efforts to implement site protocol including, but not limited to, management of change and safe work permits. /li

liEmbrace and promote BC’s HS culture as well as embrace and promote our client’s HS protocol and procedures /li

liComputer data entry and reporting of operations data, water level data, laboratory data /li
/ul
ul
liOther tasks as assigned /li

pstrongDesired Experience:/strong /p
ul
li15+ years’ experience in a related position preferred /li
/ul
ul
liExperience working in a hazardous waste industrial setting /li
/ul
ul
liValid Industrial Wastewater Treatment System Operator’s License is preferred /li
/ul
ul
liMust be adept at using the computer for administrative work associated with the sites /li
/ul
ul
liKnowledge of requirements and necessary documentation associated with protocols for an open and active industrial project site /li
/ul
ul
liAbility to embrace and promote all Health and Safety requirements /li
/ul
ul
liTraining in engineering or geology is a plus /li
/ul
ul
liMust be mechanically inclined and willing to work with their hands /li
/ul
ul
liMust be organized, reliable, able to learn new technical concepts, work independently and to work well with others /li
/ul
ul
liGood oral and written communication skills /li
/ul
ul
liMust be willing to work in a rigorous field setting /li
/ul
ul
liValid driver’s license and good driving record /li
/ul
ul
liAbility to respond to system shutdowns on off-hours including weekends and holidays, if needed /li
/ul
ul
liAbility to walk slowly around sites of varying size that may have areas of uneven, muddy, and/or rocky ground to perform inspections and take photographs. /li
/ul
ul
liAbility to work for short periods of time in extreme temperatures including heat and cold. /li
/ul
ul
liAbility to wear required safety equipment at sites including hard hats, steel toed boots (or other approved toe protection), etc. /li
/ul
ul
liAbility to stand for several hours working, observing and documenting /li
/ul
ul
liAbility to remain alert and vigilant while working around equipment and be able to walk swiftly for a short distance to clear an area where a potential hazard is identified. /li

ul
liAbility to climb stairs (2-3 flights) or ladders (up to 24 foot typically) to access structures for visual inspection. /li
/ul
ul
liAbility to lift objects on job sites less than 50 pounds /li
/ul
ul
liPosition requires enrollment in a random drug testing program /li
