We are a major electricity and gas delivery company with one of the largest electricity transmission and distribution systems in the Northeast. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a good driving record and be focused on customer, personal and coworker safety. Pipe Handlers work within the natural gas side of the operation to provide timely and quality service to our customers while maintaining high customer service./p /div/divdiv style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"bKey Accountabilities/b/H2 /divdivpulliAs a Pipe Handler you will perform a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:/liliPerform manual labor, including hand excavation, back-filling, handling of pipe, fittings, and materials and does other laboring work as required./liliOperate paving breaker and rock drills and assist in operating tapping and stoppering equipment, heating and joining equipment for plastic pipe, and other equipment so assigned./liliSuccessfully complete training of higher classification duties and obtain proper licenses./liliPlease note that to better represent the communities we serve, applicants must either currently live in or be able to relocate to within 30 miles of South Yarmouth, MA./li/ul/p/div/divdiv style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"bQualifications/b/H2 /divdivp /p ul liMust have a high school diploma or equivalent./li liMust have good mechanical aptitude and ability, high degree of dependability, and capable of exercising good judgment./li liMust pass Company physical and qualifying tests./li liMust have Massachusetts Drivers License and be in good physical condition./li /ul p /p /div/divdiv style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"bMore Information/b/H2 /divdiv/div/div/divpPay rate: $25.63 per hour/p pPlease be advised that due to the nature of this position, incumbents are subject to federal Drug amp; Alcohol safety regulations governing US Department of Transportation ("DOT") covered positions, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA).
