The target range for this position is $27.00 to $38 per hour. We generally base our salary decisions on factors such as internal equity, candidate work and/leadership experience, educational credentials, and in some cases, candidate work location./p p /p pstronguScope of Job/u/strongstrong:/strong Under specific direction from the site manager and supervision of an experienced technician, this position will assist experienced technicians with conducting maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repair of wind turbines and/or photovoltaic power and energy storage systems. The Technician 3 is expected to have knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in a renewable energy asset. Technician 3 demonstrates proficiency in using advanced diagnostic tools, understanding of system software, and familiarity with the latest industry standards. /p p /p pstrongRenewable Energy Technician 4/strong /p pWill train and sign off other renewable energy techs. Technician 4 is expected to have in-depth knowledge of procedures, instructions, and documents as provided by the company and to know and follow established safety guidelines and will seek guidance in matters for which they may be uncertain or unfamiliar. The Technician 4 will occasionally assist with overseeing daily activities without a manager or lead, being exposed to leadership and supervision role within daily activities./p p /p p /p pstronguRequired Training/u/strongstrong:/strong Each Renewable Energy Technician will attend mandatory five (5) week training and certification course at the start of their employment. The exact duration will be determined based on experience and qualifications. The training is in Albert Lea, MN, and travel, accommodation, and expenses will be provided./p h2Responsibilities/h2 pstronguResponsibilities/u/strongstrong:/strong/p p60-70% - In the field:/p ul liAssists with maintaining company property and equipment in an efficient and safe manner./li liIn support of a technician 2 or higher-level technician, services equipment based on the type of equipment and manufacturer. Assists in performing routine maintenance. Assists with new equipment installation, and the inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment./li liAssists with testing electrical components and mechanical and hydraulic systems, and the collection of equipment data for testing and analysis./li liWorks safely under all circumstances and seeks guidance for any work for which they are unfamiliar or do not feel competent to perform safely./li liAttends safety and technical training required for this position./li liRespectfully works in a team environment and learns and applies EDFNA Core Values./li /ul p10-15% - Administrative duties, such as documenting completed jobs, implementing supply orders. Complete daily work orders, time tracking and any other required paperwork for the specific project/assignment./p p /p p5% - Other duties as assigned./p p /p pstronguSupervision of Others/u/strongstrong: /strong/p pMay oversee, and train lower-level technicians Renewable Energy Technicians as outlined in the applicable qualification cards covering corrective and preventative maintenances. This position may, under certain situations, supervise site crew and any contractors to support the site(s)./p p /p pstronguWorking Conditions/u/strongstrong:/strong/p p /p p100% of time is spent working in the renewable asset field. There is also marginal time spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment./p p /p pThis position requires working on platforms or skids, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, and the repetitive use of legs, arms, hands, and fingers. The employee will work eight (8) hours a day, forty (40) hours a week, and overtime and night shifts as required./p pThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
