Job Description:
We seek a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Home Health Aide (HHA) and Certified Nursing Assistant (CAN) to join our team. As a caregiver, you will provide essential assistance with daily activities and personal care tasks to our clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Administer medication reminders and assist with medication management under the supervision of a nurse or healthcare professional.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as meal preparation, laundry, and tidying up living spaces.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments and recreational outings as needed.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of client care activities and report any changes in condition to the supervising nurse or case manager.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be legally allowed to work in Florida.
• Previous experience in hospice care, caregiving, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of home care practices and techniques.
• Ability to clean and maintain a safe living environment.
• Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and dietary restrictions.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide compassionate care.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient privacy.
• HHA certificate or CNA license
• Level 2 Background w/ fingerprints
• Palm Beach County Caregiver Badge (if HHA)
• TB or Chest X-ray
• Alzheimer's certificate (2 hours training required)
• HIV certificate
• Assisting with Self-Administration of Medications certificate
• One letter of recommendation
• Must be comfortable with housekeeping, driving the client in your car, and cooking.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently, Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred.
• First aid certification (CPR)
• Previous experience in caregiving or home health is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
• Compassionate and empathetic demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license reliable transportation and valid auto insurance.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
