Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist with 5+ years of independent, general/OB/AB sonography experience to work at a community hospital setting.

  • Community hospital and outpatient imaging center setting
  • \n
  • General, OB/AB ultrasound procedures with breast certification and/or experience
  • \n
  • 1:1 patient ratio
  • \n
  • Uses Epic for charting
  • \n
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  • \n
  • No weekend shifts required
  • \n
  • On-call as needed to cover other techs
  • \n
  • Required to float between hospital and outpatient imaging center located about 1 mile apart
  • \n
  • GE ultrasound equipment used
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Minimum of 5 years of ultrasound experience required
  • \n
  • Must be able to work independently without radiologist supervision
  • \n
  • BLS certification required
  • \n
  • ARDMS, ARDMS AB, and ARDMS OB/GYN certifications required
  • \n
  • ARDMS BR certification preferred
  • \n
  • Epic charting experience required
  • \n
  • Community hospital experience required
  • \n
  • Trauma Level I experience preferred
  • \n
  • Prior travel assignment experience required
  • \n
  • License required if applicable
  • \n
Additional Information\n
    \n
  • Performs general ultrasound, OB/GYN, and abdominal imaging procedures across various trimesters and patient populations
  • \n
  • Works within Emergency Department, ICU, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Obstetrics, and Pediatrics settings
  • \n
  • Skills include amniotic fluid index, fetal anatomical survey, fetal echo, and umbilical cord doppler among others
  • \n
  • Experience with vascular, small parts, and procedural ultrasound such as cyst aspiration, paracentesis, and thoracentesis is valued
  • \n
  • Travelers are expected to float within scope without restrictions
  • \n
  • Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted unless otherwise specified
  • \n
  • Maximum RTO request is 7 days, with additional scheduling rules applying to longer requests
  • \n
  • One major holiday off may be granted during the winter season
  • \n
  • Return travelers must have a 6-month break from the health system before returning
  • \n
  • Former staff must wait 12 months before returning as a traveler
  • \n
  • Extensions typically limited to one contract and one extension before a 6-month break is required
  • \n
