RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
\n• 3x12 schedule with weekend requirements - 6 shifts in 6 weeks, every other weekend
\n• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
\n• 24 hours of orientation provided
\n• 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
\n• Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment
\n• Adult Med/Surg Tele only - not expected to care for pediatric patients
\n• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
\n• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (PALS not required)
\n• Must have Maryland license or compact license at time of submission
\n• Skills required include telemetry monitoring, accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line care, chest tubes, heparin protocols, IV management, wound care, and dysrhythmia interpretation
\n• Work with patients with diagnoses including diabetes, CHF, infections, COPD, general surgery cases, and GI bleeds
\n• Use equipment including patient lifts, PCA pumps, chest tubes, telemetry monitoring, and capnography
\n• No RTO permitted during first two weeks, maximum 7 days per 13-week contract
\n• Self-scheduling system

This healthcare facility operates a 44-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a daily census of 32 patients. The facility specializes in adult medical/surgical care with comprehensive telemetry monitoring capabilities. The unit provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams. The facility features a large orthopedic program with total joint procedures, colorectal surgeries, vascular procedures, and bariatric surgery services.
