Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Wilson, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and night shift availability.

  • Work setting is a 294-bed, Joint Commission Accredited hospital's Emergency Department
  • \n
  • 26-bed Emergency Department serving a mixed patient population (adult, pediatric, geriatric)
  • \n
  • Common diagnoses and treatments include respiratory distress, overdose, CHF, dialysis, and hypertension
  • \n
  • Patient ratio is 1:4–5, flexible depending on acuity
  • \n
  • Equipment includes GE Monitors and standard ED equipment
  • \n
  • EMR is Meditech; experience is preferred
  • \n
  • Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • \n
  • Every other weekend required
  • \n
  • No on-call requirements
  • \n
  • Float requirement to like assignments
  • \n
  • 13-week contract
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active NC or Compact RN license required
  • \n
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications required)
  • \n
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
  • \n
  • Associate's degree in Nursing required
  • \n
  • SSN and date of birth required for consideration
  • \n

  • Orientation is held bi-weekly
  • \n
  • Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel pay rates
  • \n
  • Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
  • \n
  • Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
  • \n
  • Any color scrubs are acceptable; scrubs branded with the facility name are not permitted
  • \n
