A social services organization in New York City is looking to add a licensedChild & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join their growing team in Queens. In this role, the Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist will be responsible for patient care and oversight for approximately 100 children and youth who are treated with psychotropic medication in the agency's Foster Care program. About the Opportunity: Start Date: ASAP Schedule: Monday to Friday Hours: 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm (21 hours a week) Setting: Outpatient Patient Population: Foster Care / Underserved Patient Volume: 10 to 15 per day EMR: AcuMed Responsibilities: TheChild & Adolescent Psychiatrist will: Initiate and/or change psychotropic medication treatment for children/youth with a designated behavioral health diagnosis to ensure patient stabilization and response to treatment Complete psychiatric evaluations for all children / youth newly enrolled in foster care Provide oversight to two contracted Nurse Practitioners via one hour weekly supervision Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications: Graduate Degree in Medicine Licensed to practice in the State of New York Board Certified inChild & Adolescent Psychiatry Solid assessment and documentation skills Desired Skills: Experience in Managed Care Your privacy is important to us.
