Position Details:

• Role is medical direction. About 250 cases per week (13K annually). Regional blocks for total knee and some shoulder. CRNA s don t do most regionals blocks, and they don t do any epidurals (per hospital policies). Average about 2-3 epidurals/day.
• 4 in house Monday Friday (will be 5 in house when a 7 th is recruited)
• 1 post call
• 1 on vacation
• Each covers 3-4 OR s now. Adding a 7 th , should be 3 consistently.
• On call for a 24-hour shift. Do not have to stay in-house but must be no more than 30 minutes away.
• Emergency surgery only on Sunday, about 8-12 cases on Saturday (mix of emergent and elective)
• OB is not burdensome, makes call palatable. Very low emergency C-section rate.
