Join a dynamic and experienced Anesthesia Team in Muskegon, Michigan, where you will be part of a well-respected health facility designated as a Level 2 trauma center. Our state-of-the-art hospital features 20 operating rooms, 5 heart and vascular rooms, 6 endoscopy rooms, and 2 c-section suites. We provide a collaborative care team model that supports both medical direction over CRNAs and opportunities for hands-on anesthesia practice.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide medical direction for CRNAs while also performing anesthesia as needed.
- Engage in a general and complex range of surgical cases, including orthopedic, gynecology, ENT, vascular, neurosurgery, and interventional cardiology.
- Support anesthesia services in radiology and a robust obstetrical practice with ample epidural opportunities.
- Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives, including the Surgical Optimization Service for pre-operative patient reviews.
- Utilize advanced techniques, such as peripheral nerve blocks, to enhance patient recovery.
- Manage an FTE of approximately 2200 hours annually; participate in shared holiday and weekend call rotations.
- Accept new graduate candidates and provide training opportunities.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology (must achieve Board Certification within 2 years).
- Current Michigan Medical License or willingness to obtain.
- Recent NPDB Self Query Report (active within 30 days).
- Current DEA registration or willingness to obtain.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications or willingness to obtain.
- Available for full-time or part-time employment.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology - REQUIRED
